![]() ![]() I have never been in a place with worse service.Yes, Norco's tap water is generally considered safe to drink as Norco has no active health based violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) that we are aware of. It appeared as if that location was either under bad management or ownership. It came with some kind of breading on it. The portion of the fish was the smallest I have ever seen any restaurant serve. Yet when my “steamed vegetables” came it had green beans included. I had asked if they had any green beans that weren’t “country style” he said no, that they only came that way. I asked for coleslaw, and got steamed vegetables. I asked him to bring the other 3 people’s food and he did not. After aprox 20 min wait and no one had their food the waiter says they just ran out of salmon. However, when it was out of neglect, that is inexcusable.14 sides on the menu they only offered 2, saying them as if we ordered them. If it was a fine dining restaurant with an attentive server that would’ve been fine. And no checking back to see if all was ok or if anything else was needed. This excludes many customers from a cushy seat to sit on while dining. When we were led to our seats our friend realized the booths were extremely limited in their size. I had been looking forward to having dinner with friends at Polly’s. I did enjoy the company of my family Lunch, I did not enjoy the food. Bad food (or cooking) and small serving sizes … not the Polly’s I expected to enjoy. Will I ever go to another Polly’s? Of course not. We were all happy with the flavor of the Pies, but when the Pies were served, we all noticed that the size of the pies (in height) was about half that we expected and had been previously served at Polly’s.Īpparently, somebody at Polly’s decided to cut down on the serving sizes while charging the same prices as before.ĭisappointed? Of course. I ordered the Sunnylicious … a lemon cream Pie. I noticed that, too, as I had never seen such small portions at a Polly’s.Īnd then we all ordered Polly’s specialty … Pie. The only comments from my wife and siblings was that there meals were of unusually small portions. Not only was it not toasted, it hadn’t spent a whole lot of time on the grill, either, though it did have some oil in it making it soggy … Gee, soggy fries and soggy Rye Bread. It looked like Rye Bread was certainly not toasted and bit in. ![]() I ate another fry and the fries were oily with a bad taste, I then added catchup and they became almost edible, but I usually like my fries without catchup. While I usually do not salt anything, the fry needed something added and I salted the rest. Frankly, my first though was that the tray with the brown paper was not an appetizing sight, but I was more interested in the food. The “Melt” was delivered to me, not on a plate, but on a tray, covered by a brown paper, with fries also on the tray. I also prefer my beef not cremated so I asked them to cook it “medium”. My Patty Melt was supposed to be as usual, toasted (or fried) Rye bread with a hamburger patty, melted cheese, and grilled onions. I won’t mention what my wife, brother and sister ordered other than some general comments as I was not the one eating their food. I ordered one of my favorites … a Pattie Melt (called at Polly’s the “Polly Melt). We received the menus and eventually gave our orders. We were seated by a friendly waiter … another good sign. So it seemed like a good place to meet, and knowing that Poly’s served good meals and really good Pies, we decided to meet there.īoth cars, mine from the East and my Sisters (with my Brother aboard) arrived at the same time and we were able to enter together … that was a great sign. my home and the restaurant … not a trip I’d usually take for a meal, but I was going there to have lunch with family that live about 40 beyond this Polly’s Pies. ![]() In fact, the one I visited for this review is the closest Poly’s Pies from my present home … about 40 miles away with lots and lots of traffic between. I’ve eaten at various locations of Polly’s Pies many times but I haven’t been recenty.
